Stinson Farms started with a simple realization, sometimes life redirects you toward exactly what you're meant to be doing.

I spent years working construction, building things with my hands. Mushrooms were something I'd always grown on the side, a passion that lived alongside the day job. When a back injury forced me to step away from construction, I finally had the time to turn that passion into something more, the way fungi grow, the ecosystems they create, the incredible flavors they bring to a plate all became worth chasing full time. Cultivating gourmet mushrooms gave me a new way to build something with my hands, just as demanding, in its own way, but rooted in patience and care rather than physical labor.

I saw something missing in my community, easy access to truly fresh, high quality gourmet mushrooms, grown locally and responsibly, without pesticides. I believe that growing food with intention can support healthier lifestyles and a stronger connection between people and what they eat.

Today, Stinson Farms is proud to grow mushrooms for the community, cultivated with care, harvested fresh, and grown with one purpose in mind, elevating flavour naturally.
